Each city has a different culture, a different history and different attractions. For example, Edinburgh is well known for its festivals and its castle, while Glasgow is better known as a city that boasts lots of shops, boutiques and more of a night life compared to Edinburgh. At least, that's what people from Glasgow say anyway.
While some people prefer to do tours of Scotland by car, by bus or with a special tour company that specialises in taking holidaymakers to areas of historical or cultural interest, others prefer to stick to the more densely populated cities for shopping opportunities and some home comforts. For visitors to Glasgow, shopping and the renowned night life are the real reason they decided to visit the city, as well as the abundance of fantastic Glasgow hotels to stay in.
